COMMUNITY COMPOST PROGRAM
Residents of the District can obtain compost at no charge.
A mixture of horse manure and wood chips, an excellent soil additive that will help loosen the hard clay in lawns and gardents. Residents are allowed 4 pickup truck loads per year.
BUSINESSES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO OBTAIN COMPOST!
NO OUT OF DISTRICT RESIDENTS OR BUSINESSES MAY OBTAIN COMPOST!
REFRIGERATORS
Residents of the District can dispose of refrigerators/freezers at no charge.
All doors must be removed and District personnel will evacuate the freon.
District Businesses are charged $16.50/each. Out of District Disposal $38.50/each.
USED OIL/ANTIFREEZE/BATTERIES
Residents of the District can dispose of used oil, antifreeze and batteries.
Residents are asked to pour their containers of oil and antifreeze in the tanks provided and stack batteries beside the battery shed.
OIL AND ANTIFREEZE LIMITED TO 5 GALLONS PER RESIDENT
ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS OR OUT OF DISTRICT DISPOSAL PERMITTED!!
ELECTRONIC WASTE
District residents are allowed to dispose of e-waste at no charge but are asked to declare any elctronic waste at the scale.
District Businesses are charged $0.40/lb.
NO OUT OF DISTRICT DISPOSAL PERMITTED!
TIRES
District residents can dispose of 4 tires before charges are incurred.
District Businesses are charged $88 - $110/ton depending on tire size.
NO OUT OF DISTRICT DISPOSAL PERMITTED!
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE
Paint and paint thinners normally collected only once per year at the Household Hazardous Waste Collection event are now being accepted and processed at the Rock Springs Landfill .
RESIDENTIAL DISPOSAL ONLY!!
ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS OR OUT OF DISTRICT DISPOSAL IS PERMITTED!!
COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS ARE SUBJECT TO SPECIAL HANDLING FEES FOR MIXED LOADS.. (TIRES/METALS/ELECTRONICS, ETC)
